Release date, playtest and what is actually confirmed
There is still no release date. But there is a live playtest, a server reset and a developer asking players to push past Rupture Level 150 this weekend. Here is the current status, separated from the wishful thinking.
The playtest timeline
| Date (2026) | Event | Status |
|---|---|---|
| 17 October | Playtest app first seen on SteamDB | SteamDB |
| 27 October | Earliest public creator coverage | Creator videos |
| 30 October, 08:59 UTC | Playtest app goes live; request-access only | SteamDB / Steam |
| 5 November, 19:00 UTC | Online taken down for a server rebuild | Official news post |
| 6 November, 18:00 UTC | Online reopens with a new patch; weekend bash through Monday | Official news post |
| Not announced | Early Access release date and price | Unknown |
The playtest is not the Early Access release. Access is granted through Steam, not sold.
What resets, and what does not
The 5 November announcement is unusually specific, and it matters more than any creator build guide. Read it before you invest a weekend.
| Thing | What happened | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Online hero | Reset to level 1 with a fresh ladder | Official news post |
| Online stash and market | Fresh | Official news post |
| Top online heroes | Moved to a Hall of Fame | Official news post |
| Offline hero | Untouched; lives on your PC | Official news post |
| Account, cosmetics, invites | Kept | Official news post |
| Balance | Patched; the developer says builds will keep changing | Official news post |
What the developer is asking for
“I want to see every class and as many builds as possible past Rupture Level 150, and I will read every build and every report to get the balance right.”
That is a balance test, not a launch. The developer explicitly says “this is an alpha” and that the ladder is “for fun, not a serious race”. Treat every number you see this weekend as provisional.
How to join
-
Wishlist the game
Steam is the notification path. It also signals demand to the developer.
-
Request playtest access
Use the Request Access button on the store page. It is not automatic; the developer or Steam selects accounts.
-
Check the official Discord
The invite is linked from the store page. Public announcement channels carry schedule changes. Do not trust DMs selling keys.
-
Choose online or offline deliberately
Online is a ladder with resets. Offline is local and untouched by server work. The choice changes how much a weekend is worth.
-
Do not buy access
There is no paid beta, founder pack or legitimate key reseller. Any site selling access is a scam.
What Early Access will contain
- Six classes: Warrior, Mage, Ranger, Samurai, Paladin and Necromancer.
- A tutorial area, then randomised Ruptures across forests, deserts, snow peaks, swamps and the Underrealm, with weather and time-of-day variation.
- A Rupture Map with eight danger bands and Guardian boss fights.
- Skill gems with linkable support gems, a passive skill tree, and Blessings and Curses.
- Magic, rare, unique and Primal items.
- The Forge crafting system, with recipes unlocked by rune stones.
Languages: the Traditional Chinese gap
Steam lists 12 interface languages. Traditional Chinese is not one of them. That is why this wiki ships a Traditional Chinese edition even though the game itself does not yet.
| Interface language | Status |
|---|---|
| English | Confirmed |
| French, Italian, German | Confirmed |
| Spanish — Spain, Spanish — Latin America | Confirmed |
| Portuguese — Brazil, Portuguese — Portugal | Confirmed |
| Russian | Confirmed |
| Simplified Chinese | Confirmed |
| Japanese, Korean | Confirmed |
| Traditional Chinese | Not listed on the store; our zh-TW guide is unofficial |
Full audio is not listed for any language; the table is interface-only. Store data checked 6 November 2026.
System requirements
| Minimum | Recommended | |

| CPU | Intel Core i5-6600 / AMD Ryzen 5 1600 | Intel Core i5-10400 / AMD Ryzen 5 3600 |
| RAM | 8 GB | 16 GB |
| GPU | GTX 1050 Ti 4 GB / RX 570 4 GB | RTX 2060 / RX 5700 |

The store notes that 60 FPS needs the recommended spec and that offline mode plays without internet.
How to tell real release news from bait
- The only release date that counts is one posted on the Steam store page or the developer’s official Steam news.
- A countdown on a fan site, a “leak” with no Steam link, or a YouTube thumbnail with a red arrow is not a source.
- If a site says “out now” and the Steam page still says Coming Soon, the site is wrong.
- This page will be updated when the store changes. The checked date is always visible at the top.
